Administratorem Schroniska dla Zwierząt jest Miejski Zakład Usług Komunalnych w Sosnowcu. Schronisko przewidziane jest na 150 psów, jednak obecnie przebywa ich w nim od 180 -250. Od 2010r. w schronisku prowadzony jest wolontariat. Początkowo pod patronatem Fundacji S.O.S. dla Zwierząt, obecnie prowadzi go Stowarzyszenie Opieki nad Zwierzętami Nadzieja Na Dom.
