Miejskie Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt "Kundelek" w Rzeszowie powstało w 2005 r. Do zadań schroniska należy:
- przyjmowanie i przetrzymywanie psów i kotów bezdomnych zgodnie z art. 4 Ustawy o Ochronie Zwierząt z dnia 21 sierpnia 1997r.
- poszukiwanie nowych opiekunów,
- leczenie chorych zwierząt rokujących wyleczenie,
- zapewnienie humanitarnych warunków bytowych,
- edukacja humanitarna,
- promowanie sterylizacji zwierząt.
