Celem działalności schroniska jest:
- pomoc w utrzymywaniu porządku w mieście w zapobieganiu pogryzieniom przez błąkające się psy i wypadkom samochodowym
- danie tymczasowego schronienia zagubionym i opuszczonym zwierzętom
- ułatwienie odnalezienie właściciela zwierzęcia
- znalezienie nowego domu dla zwierząt schroniskowych
- odgrywanie roli centrum edukacji i informacji na temat zwierząt i opieki nad nim
- sterylizacja i kastracja zwierząt w celu zmniejszenia populacji zwierząt bezdomnych w mieście
W dniu dzisiejszym schronisko jest złem koniecznym. Jest to jednak miejsce, o którym wszyscy w mieście powinni wiedzieć szukając swojego zaginionego zwierzaka lub pragnąc oferować nową rodzinę bezdomnemu psu lub kotu. Zwierzętami opiekuje się wyszkolona załoga, pomagają nam także wolontariusze. Dzięki ich zapałowi zwierzaki mają szansę na socjalizację, wyjście na spacer, pielęgnację oraz znalezienie nowego domu.
