Stowarzyszenie Przyjaciół Fretek jest organizacją pozarządową, która zajmuje się niesieniem pomocy zwierzętom - przede wszystkim fretkom - w potrzebie. Pracujemy pro bono w oparciu o wolontariat członków organizacji.
Działamy intensywnie na polu prowadzenia adopcji zwierząt. Pomagamy fretkom, które z różnych powodów straciły dach nad głową, zapewniając im troskliwą opiekę w domach tymczasowych i znajdując nowych opiekunów. Niejednokrotnie trafiają do nas zwierzęta chore, ranne czy wycieńczone, wiele boi się kontaktu z człowiekiem i potrzebuje wiele czasu i cierpliwości, zanim będzie gotowe znów mu zaufać. Stowarzyszenie włącza się też w walkę z bezdomnością zwierząt, propagując sterylizację.
